I’m wishing all my Stateside readers a very Happy Thanksgiving. Whether you found my blog on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or by word of mouth, I appreciate your stopping by and reading my posts. And as for my commentators – a big thank you for sharing cornucopia thanksgiving thumb Happy Thanksgiving To All my Readers your thoughts, ideas and comments here on nickyjameson.com and for Tweeting, Stumbling, sharing and generally showing the power of social. Without question, you rock!

There’s no denying it’s been a tough year for businesses. Yet it’s amazing how much we still have to be thankful for.  We may not have hit our all our targets, we may feel we have lost out where we should have won… our financial assets may be less than we’d like… but we are still better off than a large proportion of the world who’d probably give their eye teeth for a 5th of what we have. I’d say there is plenty to give thanks for and many blessings to count. Here are just some of the reasons I have to say thank you:

  • For my wealth – I have enough  to put a roof over my head, clothes on my back and food on my table. I have marketable skills. In fact, I want for nothing.
  • For my health…
  • for my family and friends…
  • for my darling husband…
  • for all the new friends and and acquaintances I’ve  met through social networking – and those I’ve yet to meet…
  • for my clients and the opportunity to meet their needs…
  • for those who help support my business (you know who you are)…
  • for my work. I love what I do, the value it creates and what it does for people…
  • for everyone who’s inspired me and contributed to all the new things I’ve learned, whether that’s online or off…
  • for the power of my mind… and the phenomenal power and potential choose my thoughts…
  • for new opportunities to learn, share and do business
  • for all my subscribers.

I could go on. My list is a long one.  The more things I’m thankful for, the more things I find to be thankful for.  So even though I’m a Brit (we don’t have Thanksgiving) living in Toronto (Canadian Thanksgiving  was in October) I will just say:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Make it a safe one.

Yes, thank you for the kind reminder of what we do have! I am thankful for social media that gives a way to connect and share. And offline, for my wonderful family!

“I’m a Brit” – aha! So you didn’t grow up learning about Pilgrims and Mayflowers and such. My daughter is putting on a play today. For us.
