When I post to Instagram I find I write a bit about my art when I post it. Although I don’t go into tons of intense detail about what has transpired, I love to write a few words for the fans to understand where I am coming from on any piece of my art. Instagram forces me to say just enough and then let people enjoy the art. I decided to make use of the cool embed function on Instagram to post to my blog. Click over to my Insta to see more. I haven’t yet launched my latest composition so I don’t yet have it up on NickyJamesonArt. It’s going to be large. Be sure you are on my newsletter so you can get updates to the launch. In the meantime it’s available to see large at Nicky Jameson Photography.
The Landing. Or a Contradiction in Time. I am eternally grateful there is always something to learn, something that makes me push myself into some unfamiliar territory. Starting with some dark backgrounds I blended in light and elements to build a rather surreal story. To create perspective I included my photos of Hampton Court Palace because I love the architecture (and the lines brought structure) and my fascination with timepieces makes an appearance in a rather unusual way along with some steampunk. I used masking, blending, curves and blur to control the position of each element. Best seen large, this composition has 20 different layers, plenty to see if you look closely and best seen large, so take your time. It may become part of a limited-time edition series. #artistsofinstagram, #art, #fineartphotography, #contemporaryart, #surreal, #digitalart, #digitalartist, #creative, #hamptoncourt, #nickyjameson, #dark, #localartists, #photography, #mannequin, #oldbuilding, #light, #ukart
