Urban Sculpture in Toronto’s Distillery District – War of the Worlds?

That’s what jumped into my mind when I saw this massive sculpture in Toronto’s  Distillery District on the weekend.

There is always a new and interesting sculpture in Toronto’s  Distillery District.

This one is more unusual than most – it was quite an unexpected sight. I’m not sure I’d be too keen on seeing it outside my window every day. I half expected the sculpture to start walking towards me. Fanciful. Its huge size made it rather challenging to shoot so I got one of the entire sculpture and another underneath it. Closer up it looks like a huge spider. If anyone knows what the sculpture’s called please share. Toronto’s Distillery District changes the art and sculpture here quite regularly. You never know what you’re going to find, just that it will be interesting urban art.
