Peace and Love – New Art
This is the window of St James Church in Chipping Campden, Cotswolds (my photo which I clipped to overlays and transfers brushes and treated with blend modes). The rainbow colours have been the colours of hope during this pandemic. Peace and Love is what a dear friend wished me at the beginning of the year… so relevant today, especially with all that’s going on. I have to remind myself that peace and love are mine all the time and no covid19 is able to take that away… from me or from you.
I’ve been thinking of a lot of things during this covid time. It’s hard to pin down thoughts for long so I tend to journal my ideas – and create as much as I can – with colour as it brings light into the darkness. Long blog posts are out of the question for the moment and schedules are all over the place. I’ve thrown out deadlines for now in order to remove anything that’s remotely stressful. I am however thinking of possible new ways to foster connection with my fans because if there is one thing covid has thrown into clear perspective is the need for real connection.
You can see Peace and Love as a canvas print and spiral notebook for your thoughts during this time in the artstore. And for my regular postings check out my Instagram – it is ahead of my additions of artwork to my store so contact me if there’s one you see that you like. And remember you can sign up for my newsletter for more in-depth updates and new work I share.
